SANITARY LANDFILL, MINING AND LEACHATE PONDS :

Geomembrane liners are extensively used in sanitary landfills, mining operations, canals, power plants, dams, heap leach pads and leachate collection ponds. For a complete containment protection, sanitary landfills are lined, capped or covered with Geopoly HDPE geomembrane lining systems of both smooth and textured surfaces and also LLDPE geomembrane liners. Hazardous leachate from landfill cells are channeled into lined leachate collection ponds for further treatment.

CONCRETE, PRESSED STEEL TANKS AND SECONDARY CONTAINMENT :

HDPE geomembrane liners provide an efficient and cost-effective method of waterproofing earthen, sand, clay, concrete and steel lined reservoirs and containment structures. Geomembrane liners are installed inside concrete and pressed steel water tanks to preserve and protect tank walls against corrosion, deterioration and leakages from cracks.

In the Oil and Gas Industry, Geopoly HDPE geomembrane lining systems are installed in depot storage tanks as a secondary containment in line with a tank protection and leak detection system.

HDPE geomembrane liners are hardy and durable; resistant to most hazardous liquids; certified for potable water containment; UV resistant for exposed applications and cost effective. For potable water storage applications, these geomembrane liners help to prevent tank wall, ground water or bund seepage contamination.

WASTEWATER AND CHEMICAL TREATMENT :

Industrial and Municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities utilizes HDPE geomembrane lining systems to enhance efficiency, integrity and performance. Their many applications include water retention and chemical waste treatment ponds; oxidation ponds; sedimentation basins; floating covers for anaerobic digestion and odor control. Geopoly HDPE geomembrane lining systems add protection to concrete and other structures for the prevention of contamination to ground water due to seepages and leakages.

AQUACULTURE POND LINERS :

For efficient aquaculture farm management and water quality controls, hatchery, grow out ponds, tanks and raceways performance are significantly improved by the use of Geopoly HDPE geomembrane plastic pond lining systems. The benefits of installing a HDPE geomembrane plastic pond lining system includes easier pond maintenance and reduction in operating costs; better water quality control, reduces turbidity and risks of disease; effective water leakages and bund slope erosion control; saves time in pond preparations between harvests; reduces sludge, waste and sediment contamination at pond bottom; ultimately leading to better farm performance and profitable crop harvests.

Geopoly has a complete range of both HDPE, LLDPE and LDPE geomembrane liner for aquaculture pond lining applications. HDPE, LLDPE or LDPE geomembrane liners of 0.30 mm to 0.75 mm thickness with roll widths ranging from 0.75 meters to 8.00 meters are available to one hundred percent line the pond or for covering the pond bund and slope only.

FLOATING COVERS, COVERED LAGOONS AND CDM BIOGAS DIGESTERS :

Increased agro and factory production has created the sensitive issues of contamination from organic wastes and factory sludge.

The effluent or discharge from such wastes and sludge lagoons are consistently being monitored by the Municipal Authorities and Environmentalists for a proper waste management, treatment and disposal system. There is also a fear of ground water and river contamination by such untreated leachates and wastes by-products. Geopoly HDPE geomembrane lining systems are useful to line holding ponds, sludge ponds, aerobic or anaerobic treatment ponds and evaporation ponds in waste treatment facilities.

Geomembrane liners are also used as floating covers or cappings onto wastes lagoons or sludge pits to reduce air pollution, foul smell and to control flies, rodents and pests. HDPE geomembrane floating covers may be utilized in tandem with a CDM biogas digester or methane gas collection facility to co-generate electricity or to flare.
